The long-lasting Des-Case Extended Series desiccant breathers combine the check-valves of VentGuard and HydroGuard breathers with an oil mist reducing feature and more than double the desiccant, increasing breather life. These breathers also boast an increased air flow of 24 to 27 cfm @ 1 psid, and work well for applications that are large or remote. Efficiency is 3 micron absolute (ß3≥200), temperature range is -20˚F–200˚F, and connection is 1″ FNPT, with 1″ and ¾” MNPT adapters available.
Additional Information
We recommend EX-2 breathers for hydraulic reservoir applications of 100 gallons or less, and EX-4 breathers for hydraulic reservoir applications of greater than 100 gallons. We also have parts recommendations for these, as follows:
- For both EX-2 and EX-4 breathers, if you are using a 6 bolt hydraulic filler cap, we recommend the DC-12-TG breather adapter and the DC-EXA-10 breather adapter. If you are using a bayonet fitting, we recommend a DC-15-T bayonet adapter and DC-EXA-10 breather adapter.
- For EX-2 breathers, you could also choose to upgrade to a hydraulic adapter kit (part no. HAB112118E22). Filter Cart FC05EB1CAB10Y2 mates with this adapter kit.
- For EX-4 breathers, you could also choose to upgrade to a hydraulic adapter kit (part no. HAB112124E42). Filter Cart TC08E-2C2A0-1Y2 mates with this adapter kit.
